Connect walking, cycling or a boat

Camp Bay can be reached from the Queen Charlotte Track or by water taxi; the road-end approach still involves walking or cycling. Select one clear arrival plan and make sure the whole group understands where vehicles or luggage will remain. Check transfers independently of the campsite booking. If linking several nights, keep enough flexibility that one delayed journey does not force an unrealistic walking stage simply to preserve the original schedule.

Use it as a track overnight

The campsite lies in Endeavour Inlet. Think of the stay as a place to recover and reorganise between activities, not merely a point to pass through before dinner. Decide which equipment needs drying, what food is needed next and how much time to leave for the following morning. An easy evening can be more valuable than adding an optional outing after a long day, especially when members of the party have different energy levels.

Pack for a tent reservation

Book the campsite and carry your own sleeping and cooking equipment. A listed cooking shelter does not mean a meal service or a supplied stove, so check the shared kit before departure. Put booking details, transfer contacts and the next stage's route notes somewhere usable without a connection. Before leaving camp, review track notices afresh and confirm any pickup time. Allow time to pack properly rather than making the day's first decision while already hurrying along the track.

Check the official campsite information for current restrictions, facilities and booking arrangements.
