Hauraki Gulf

Manurewa, Auckland
Spend time among plant collections and open garden spaces in south Auckland. This is a separate outing from the city-centre Domain, with plenty of scope for a relaxed garden-focused visit.
General garden entry is free. Purchases and separately advertised activities are additional.
Use the garden map to choose a manageable route. Check visitor-centre access and current public transport before leaving the city.
Central Auckland
See Auckland's harbour, volcanic landscape and city from the tower's observation levels. This is a useful city-centre viewpoint rather than a substitute for exploring the islands themselves.
Observation-deck admission is ticketed; adventure experiences and dining cost extra.
