Outdoor Next, operated by an individual sole trader based in New Zealand, publishes outdoor planning information. This page explains possible commercial funding and how it should be identified.
Current position
As of 23 October 2026, there are no affiliate relationships in place. The website shop is closed to new orders. The owner has agreed that future funding may include display advertising, affiliate links for campervan hire, accommodation, activities and equipment, and sponsored placements. This is not a statement that those arrangements are active or approved by any partner.
Editorial independence
Our editorial judgement must remain independent of commercial payments. Payment must not buy a favourable review, change a safety fact or hide a useful correction. Comparisons should explain their basis and limits; they may not cover every operator or product. We do not claim first-hand testing, the lowest price or official endorsement without evidence. Our editorial standards explain source checking and the distinction between research and field testing.
Affiliate links
If introduced, affiliate links will be labelled near the link or relevant recommendation. We may receive a commission when you book or buy through such a link. The applicable offer and provider's terms determine the price you pay; we will not promise that every link gives the best price. An ordinary source link or operator listing alone does not mean we have an affiliate relationship.
Advertising and sponsorship
Display advertising will be identified as advertising. Sponsored content and sponsored placements will be labelled clearly where they appear, with the sponsor identified. A paid placement must not be presented as an independent editorial ranking. Relevant paid, gifted or hosted support should also be disclosed rather than implied to be an independent purchase or visit.
Your information and choices
New advertising or affiliate tracking must be assessed and explained before it starts. The privacy policy sets out information handling and the agreed regional consent approach; it does not mean advertising or affiliate scripts are already enabled.
