5 things to do
Blenheim
Discover aviation history through aircraft and theatrical displays about the First and Second World Wars. The museum is a destination in its own right, not just an airport stop.
Exhibition admission is ticketed. Individual exhibitions and combined tickets have different inclusions.
Check which exhibition areas are included in your ticket and allow time for the displays that interest you.
Picton
Spend time by the harbour at the gateway to the Marlborough Sounds. The waterfront offers a chance to enjoy the setting before or after a boat journey.
Admission has not been confirmed. Check current visitor information, including transport and optional extras.
Allow for ferry check-in separately; a waterfront stop does not replace the operator's arrival instructions.
Marlborough Sounds
Explore waterways and coastal scenery on a sightseeing cruise. Different trips focus on scenery, local stories or wildlife, so compare the itinerary rather than only the duration.
Admission has not been confirmed. Check current visitor information, including transport and optional extras.
Confirm the departure port, stops and return time. Wildlife encounters and landings are not guaranteed.
Blenheim
Take a garden-focused break in a public park close to Blenheim. Plan a relaxed outdoor stop rather than expecting a booked attraction, with time to explore the paths and planted spaces.
Public park outing; event-space hire and other services have separate arrangements.
Check the council's park information and any event restrictions. Booking a park space for an event differs from an ordinary visit.
Picton waterfront
Explore the story of a preserved historic sailing ship at the waterfront museum. It is a useful cultural stop before or after time in the Sounds, with a different focus from a boat cruise.
Museum entry is ticketed; confirm current visitor categories and ship-access arrangements.
Check current admission and access to the ship before arrival. Allow time between a museum visit and any fixed ferry or cruise check-in.
Free refers to general entry or the named self-guided visit, not a whole day's costs. Transport, parking and extras may be additional. Check admission where residency or ticket choices differ.
