Walk in from Wairoa Dam

Council estimates one to two hours from Wairoa Dam car park. Use its directions through the Wairoa Loop and Repeater Road junctions.

Carry all your water

There is no campground water supply. The shelter has a dirt floor and wooden bunks, so bring a full camping setup rather than assuming hut-standard accommodation.

Check the official campsite information before travelling. The source-check date is not live availability or an assurance that access conditions are unchanged.
