Choose a dog-friendly stay, not just a dog-friendly label

Start with the individual pet policy below. A conditional record can mean prior approval, a designated pitch or restrictions on dates and dog numbers. Ask the operator about your dog before paying; do not assume a pet-friendly cabin policy also applies to camping, or the reverse.

Check the beach, reserve and walking route separately. DOC permits dogs at a campsite only where its dog-on-leash or dog-with-permit designation allows it. A campsite booking does not override wildlife protection or nearby track rules. Unknown pet policies are left out of this selection.

Does conditional mean I can bring my dog?

No. It means a recorded policy may allow dogs subject to conditions. Read the place guide and get the operator's approval for your dates, dog and accommodation type.

How can I narrow this to my region?

Open the full campsite directory, select Pets considered and a region, then add confirmed facilities such as power or hot showers. All selected conditions must match.
