Stay beside the river trail

The reserve is a stop on the Waikato River Trails. Its lakeside grass, toilet block and barbecue area make it a basic outdoor base rather than a serviced holiday park.

Confirm the usable area

Council's December 2025 occupation notice said some camping space remained open but limited. Ask council about present conditions; that dated notice does not prove the situation is unchanged.

Check the official campsite information before travelling. The source-check date is not live availability or an assurance that access conditions are unchanged.
